March 17 and 18 - Trip To Ashdown Roses in Lanscomb, SC and a stay at Stone Hedge Lodge in Tyron, NC just a few miles west of Charlotte. All their roses are own root roses and are far less work than the standard hybred Teas from other sources. They are supposed to be far less work and are a hardier variety. We came back with a dozen shrubs and 4 groundcovers. Have supplemented elsewhere with my usual impatients and some verbinia along the front walk. The two tall trees at either end of the house are Emerald Green Arborvitae, and under the living room windows are, Gardenia, Radican, and Habor Belle Nandina along with a single Kramer's Camellia.
Also some pictures not only ot Stone Hedge Lodge but the work in the backyard and the front along with the planting of the new roses as it progresses along.
